“The Fox and the Grapes”
Hi,Dreamer! Get cozy and listen closely. Tonight’s story is about handling disappointment.
A hungry fox wandered into an orchard, sniffing the air. “I need something delicious to eat,” he muttered.
Then, he spotted a vine full of ripe, juicy grapes hanging high above. “Ah, perfect!” His mouth watered as he imagined the sweet taste.
He crouched low, wiggled his tail, and leaped into the air—whoosh! But he missed.
The fox landed on the ground, blinked, and tried again. “One more jump should do it!” He sprang up—swoosh! But still, the grapes were just out of reach.
Panting, the fox narrowed his eyes. “Fine! I’ll use my speed!” He backed up, ran full force, and leaped—whoosh!—but he still couldn’t reach them.
Frustrated and exhausted, the fox scowled at the grapes.
“Hmph! They’re probably sour anyway,” he huffed. “Not worth my time!”
And with that, he turned away, pretending he never wanted them in the first place.
Tonight’s lesson is this:
“Sometimes, when we can’t get what we want, we pretend it wasn’t important. But true strength comes from trying again or accepting things with grace.”
What do you think, Dreamer? Have you ever told yourself something didn’t matter just because it was hard to achieve?”
Tonight, let’s rest knowing that real courage comes from honesty—with others and with ourselves.
Goodnight, my Dreamer… Sleep soundly, and never stop reaching for your dreams…
