“The Lion and the Mouse”

 

Hi,Dreamer! Tonight’s story is about kindness and unexpected friendships. Settle in and listen.

 

One day, a mighty lion lay sleeping in the jungle, his golden mane shimmering in the sunlight. “Zzz…”

Suddenly, a tiny mouse scurried across his paw.

“Squeak! Oh no!” The mouse froze as the lion’s eyes snapped open.

“Who dares to wake me?” the lion growled, capturing the trembling mouse beneath his paw.

“Please spare me!” the mouse squeaked. “If you let me go, I promise I’ll help you one day!”

The lion chuckled. “You? Help me? That’s the funniest thing I’ve heard all day!”

But something about the little mouse’s bravery amused him, so he lifted his paw and let him go. “Run along, little one.”

Days later, the lion found himself trapped in a hunter’s net. He roared and thrashed, but the ropes wouldn’t budge.

From nearby, the little mouse heard his cries and rushed to help.

“Hold still!” the mouse squeaked. “I’ll get you out!”

With his tiny teeth, he gnawed through the ropes. Snap, snap, snap!

Soon, the lion was free. He looked down at the mouse in amazement. “I never thought someone so small could save someone as big as me!”

The mouse grinned. “A promise is a promise!”

 

Tonight’s lesson is simple:

“Even the smallest act of kindness can make a big difference. No one is too small to help.”
