"The Tortoise and the Hare"
Hi,Dreamer! Close your eyes and get comfortable. Tonight, let’s hear a story about patience and perseverance…
One bright morning, a hare hopped proudly through the meadow, boasting to the other animals. “I’m the fastest in the land! No one can outrun me!”
Hearing this, a slow-moving tortoise lifted its head and said, “Maybe so, but I still believe I can beat you in a race.”
The hare burst into laughter. “You? Beat me? That’s a good joke! But alright, I accept. Let’s race!”
The fox set up the course, and the animals gathered to watch.
“On your marks… get set… go!”
In a flash, the hare zoomed ahead, leaving the tortoise far behind. The tortoise, however, moved steadily—one small step at a time.
After a while, the hare looked back and smirked. “He’s so slow! I have time for a nap.” He curled up under a tree and fell asleep.
But the tortoise kept moving forward, never stopping, never giving up.
When the hare finally woke up, he stretched, yawned, and looked toward the finish line—his eyes widened in shock. The tortoise was just about to cross it!
“No way!” The hare dashed forward, but it was too late. The tortoise had already won.
The animals cheered, and the hare hung his head in disbelief.
With a kind smile, the tortoise said, “Slow and steady wins the race.”
Tonight’s lesson is simple:
“Patience and determination will always take you farther than overconfidence and haste.”
What do you think, Dreamer? Have you ever kept going, even when others thought you couldn’t?”
